Events :- 5K Walk/Run on 05/08/2004 00:00:00 AM

On May 8th, 2004 in scenic Excelsior Springs, MO, Quick Start held a 5K Walk/Run at Elms Resort & Spa where the weather was perfect for some morning exercise for a good cause. The Elms staff and management sponsored and coordinate the event. It was an intimate affair with fans getting the opportunity to get a good workout while mingling with Eddie and his teammates and coaches including Shawn Barber, Jason Baker, Casey Wiegmann, Eric Hicks, and Billy Long. The event was followed by a luncheon where participants received many door prizes as a thank you for their support. Funds raised supported Lupus Research and the Quick Start scholarship funds.

Our goal is to increase awareness and generate funding to find a cure for the autoimmune disease lupus, as well as, provide scholarships to deserving high school seniors seeking a higher education. Every donation will help make this possible.
